DayZ - First Encounter [Part 2]

I stick to the side of the road and head into the hills. It’s a long journey with nothing but forestry around me. I suppose it’s better than zombies. At this point I feel very lost and confused so I decide to do what others might say is cheating… I pull up a map on my second monitor and attempt to find myself. Scrutinizing the country side for about ten minutes, I finally manage to find myself. There appears to be a barn ahead so I make my way over.

Zombies start coming out, and given my low health, I hit the ground, crawling up to the barn. It takes quite a while, and I manage to avoid a couple close encounters, but I make it inside. Searching it quietly, I find exactly what I was hoping for; finally, a gun! The only draw back is I have no ammo. I decide I’ve played enough and lost a bunch of items because I tried to put things where they shouldn’t go.

I log back in another day to find a shotgun where I originally found my Lee Enfield. Oh joy! It has ammo too! I grab it and head out to the town nearby. Cheating once again, even more so than the last time, I see there’s a water well in the city. My character is very thirsty and I’m hoping I can drink from it. I pretty much sneak the entire way till I’m at the outer limits.

More zombies. More than I’ve every see. This isn’t going to be easy but I really need water at this point. Onto elite sneaking. Carefully made it to the well but how to I use it? I spend several minutes fucking around. “Damn it! What the fuck I am going to do?” Oh.. look… a zombie randomly aggro’s me… Fuck! Two shots, he drops, only for more to come. I’m bleeding, and I’m low health…

And so marks the end of my first life. Zombies.
